A restoration shop came to us wanting to build a strong reliable combo with KILLER street manners for a 1966 GTO they were doing.  They wanted to use a Kauffman Performance MR-1A aluminum aftermarket block for the foundation of the build to make a pump gas friendly 10.5 to 1 compression ratio.  We opted to hit the power goals using a set of BONE STOCK  80cc KRE High Port Heads.  The customer will be putting EFI on this combo so we thought it would be fun to dyno the engine with one of our in-house Holley 2300 Tri-power setup.  Should be a VERY fun ride!

The engine uses the following components:

  • Kauffman Performance MR-1A aluminum Pontiac block 4.250 bore
