Description
These are our camshaft thrust plate kit. The Camshaft thrust plates are offered in 3 different thickness now. Approximately .125″, .124, and .122 thick. The plates are precision ground to be flat with the engine block and the cam mounting hardware (both sides are surface ground!). This is A MAJOR improvement over the plates that came on stock Pontiac engines. This Camshaft Plate kit will fit all MR-1 aftermarket blocks as well as stock Pontiac blocks.
The kit comes with the TIP-011 Camshaft Plate, 2 grade 8 split lock washers and 2 new grade 8 bolts.
Most of the stock cam plates we have measured over the years are .1255 to .1245 (nominal .125) With all of the aftermarket parts available these days, we have found the need for a variety of thickness of plates.
Note: When we are checking cam end play we are looking for .002 – .006
